About this event
Join us for a refreshing women’s group hiking adventure as we explore the beauty of Carrizo Canyon! This scenic hike will take us through striking rock formations, winding pathways, and the quiet magic of the desert landscape and if we are lucky, we may see some Big Horn Sheep. This canyon is closed to hikers after the first of the year for lambing season, so if you want to hike in this area, there is no better time!
The hike is about 3 miles round trip (out and back) and is rated easy/moderate. The elevation change is approximately 100 to 500 feet. Whether you’re an experienced hiker or simply eager to enjoy the outdoors with great company, this outing promises a perfect blend of connection, movement, and nature.
We’re thrilled to have a knowledgeable volunteer from Friends of the Desert guiding our journey. They’ll share insights about the canyon’s history, wildlife, and unique desert ecosystem as we walk together. Lace up your hiking boots, bring plenty of water, and get ready for a morning of inspiration, camaraderie, and discovery. We hope to see you on the trail!
